BMW and Baidu – Chinese search engine – partners with Samsung to develop a new driverless car in Beijing

BMW and Baidu to partner for the development of china’s own driverless car and they have teamed up to test one in the Chinese city of Beijing. This move will join the race with Google, and it will get the first autonomous vehicle to Chinese market. The project team has plans to bring the vehicle to market within the next three years and the Chinese search giant will compete the Google driverless car.

The Google driverless car project is in its final phases and the autonomous car test travelled more than a million miles. Fellow tech giants like Tesla and Apple also widely rumoured to be plotting its move into the autonomous car sector.
